WHat is bearhawk yoga?
We are a mother and daughter duo, each with our own storied pasts.
Cathie (E-RYT 200, RYT 500) has more than 40 years of experience in the physical fitness industry, backed by a degree in exercise science. due to numerous surgeries, she also knows how helpful yoga can be when it comes to healing & strengthening the physical body.
Haleigh (RYT 200) was inspired by this growing up, but it wasn’t until she was diagnosed with anxiety & depression that she learned firsthand about the additional benefits of Yoga on mental health. as an instructor, she hopes to use this knowledge to assist others going through a similar struggle.
It is our combined goal to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come together and share in the many joys of yoga.
why “Bearhawk yoga”?
We chose to honor our American Indian heritage by combining the names of our spirit guides, given to us by our elders. Haleigh's guide is a bear, and Cathie's is a hawk.
